DAY 1 – ARRIVE AUCKLAND

On the first day of your itinerary, collect your hire car from the Thrifty counter in arrivals hall upon arrival at Auckland.

Excess NZD$2990.00 & Airport pick up fee of NZD$40.25. It is PAYABLE on pick up. As for the excess amount, it can be turned to NIL by paying NZD$34.50 per day. It will also reduce the Airport pick up fee to NIL. Do not forget to purchase a travel insurance policy from our web site.

DAY 2 – AUCKLAND/BAY OF ISLANDS

Take a 3Hrs 8Mins (216Kms) drive time to cross Auckland Harbour Bridge. Later on, head north to the amazing scenic beauty of Bay Of Islands.

During the afternoon, you will enjoy wonderful sightseeing at:

  • Cape Brett Dolphins
  • Hole in Rock cruise (Departs at 1:30pm from Paihia wharf. Return 4:30pm.)
DAY 3 – BAY OF ISLANDS

On your day three, sit back & relax. Our finely planned itinerary has included a Fullers coach trip to Cape Reinga on this day of your trip.  Delicious BBQ lunch is included, too.

Every traveler would agree that, a visit to New Zealand is incomplete without a journey to the North Island and more specifically, Cape Reinga (Te Rerenga Wairua). So, we will be bringing you here and make sure that, on arrival at Cape Reinga, you get to watch the Pacific Ocean amazingly colliding with the Tasman Sea. Feel the charm of soft and warm sand between your toes while your driver, guides you to dig for shellfish (conditions permitting) at Ninety Mile Beach. This action-packed day will also give you the opportunity to take photos and at the same time to enjoy such unique part of New Zealand.

DAY 4 -BAY OF ISLANDS/AUCKLAND

Today, take an adventurous drive of 3Hrs 8Mins.

After Breakfast (optional) your journey will take you back to Auckland.

DAY 5 – AUCKLAND/WAITOMO

On this day you will enjoy a wonderful 2Hrs 50Mins (195Kms) drive.

Make your way to Waitomo in the morning and explore why this land is popularly known as the lost world.

A Glowworm Cave tour has been included by us, too.

DAY 6 – WAITOMO/ROTORUA

2Hrs 14Mins (156Kms) drive has been prepared for you on day six.

The morning has been kept for you to spend a quality leisure time so that you can go for a short drive to the amazing thermal wonderland of Rotorua.

DAY 7 – ROTORUA

Day seven has been kept for exploring the Highlights of this spectacular thermal wonderland. Do not miss the opportunity to stopover at Paradise Valley OR Rainbow Springs.  There is an option to adventure in between the New Zealand animals and birds, at the Agrodome. Then, there is an option finely planned for you to visit:

  • 130 hectare farm complex
  • See on stage a parade of 19 different breeds of sheep
  • Demonstration of sheep shearing
  • Visit to te puia thermal reserve – popular for its steaming valley comprised with the amazing bubbling mudpools and geysers.

Your entry to these places will be provided by Rotorua Travel (included in cost).

A traditional Maori concert and hangi, dinner for all has been planned for the evening.

DAY 8 – ROTORUA – NAPIER

Your drive time will be 3Hrs 8Mins for 218Kms on day eight so that you can adventurously explore:

  • East coast of the North Island

DAY 9 – NAPIER – WELLINGTON

Say goodbye to the wine land on day nine with a 4Hrs 35Mins (319Kms) drive that will take you to the New Zealand capital Wellington.

DAY 10 – WELLINGTON – PICTON-KAIKOURA

Interislander Ferry Departs from Picton: 8:25am.  Arrives Picton at 11:25am

After dropping your car at the Wellington Ferry Terminal you will be joining your Interislander Ferry that would take you for your journey to the South Island. After arriving at Picton take a train journey from Tranz Coastal so that you can arrive at the whaling town of Kaikoura. Later on, you will be comfortably transferred to your accommodation. The afternoon has been preserved for your quality leisure time spending.

DAY 11 – KAIKOURA – CHRISTCHURCH

DAY 12 – CHRISTCHURCH/MOUNT COOK/TWIZEL

Drive Time to Christchurch-Mount Cook will be 4Hrs 50Mins (332Kms)

Drive Time to Mount Cook-Omarama will be 1Hr (64Kms)

Fix your car that will be leaving in the morning and will take you for an adventurous journey across the Canterbury Plains and McKenzie Country. After reaching to the foot of Mount Cook, the journey will take you to your evening accommodation at Twizel.

DAY 13 – TWIZEL/DUNEDIN

On day thirteen you will leave South Island and travel to Dunedin – reputed for its Scottish influence.

On being here at Dunedin you will get to see the incredible wildlife that also includes the world’s rarest penguins (at Taiaroa Head). It happens to be world’s only mainland breeding colony of Royal Albatross.
