DAY 1 – Auckland

After your arrival at the Auckland Airport, you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel.

 DAY 2 – Auckland-Bay of Islands

The 2nd day tour starts with the journey to Bay of Islands. This coach tour takes you through the scenic native sub-tropical forests, shrubs and hedges of the National Maritime Park. Once you reach the seaside town of Paihia, your tour guide will take you to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds where you will experience the principle historic site of NZ.    

After an eventful visit to the historic site, you will be transferred to the Bay of Island hotel. Afterwards, the rest of the day is yours.

DAY 3 – Bay of Islands

3rd day itinerary includes a trip to Cape Reinga, the source of optimum northern New Zealand experience. Here, the two oceans bump into each other.  The place where the where Maori spirits begin their final journey, is also included in our day trip.

Typically, approximate coach pick up time from hotel is 7:00am and the drop off is around 6:30pm at the hotel.

 DAY 4 – Bay of Islands-Auckland

Another gorgeous day to traverse the Bay of Island. 4th day activity includes a Cape Brett cruise and visit to the famous Hole in Rock in Motukokako Island. Roam around Bay of Island before return coach to Auckland.

Coach Departs from Bay of Island at 4:30pm & Arrives Auckland around 8:10pm.

 DAY 5 – Auckland-Waitomo-Rotorua

A fine morning in Auckland. Today’s plan includes travel to the south through the Waikato farmlands. Then a visit to the famous Waitomo Caves. Walk through the main cave and then an underground boat trip will follow along the Waitomo river to experience the astonishing Glow Worm Cave. Say adieu to Auckland, continue to Rotorua in the afternoon.

Coach Departs from Auckland 7:30am and after the day trip, arrives Rotorua around 5:00pm. Pick up and drop off at accommodation.

 DAY 6 – Rotorua

The day is allotted for Rotorua sightseeing. Pick up from hotel is around 07:30 in the morning. A visit to the popular sights including Paradise Valley Springs, Te Puia & Agrodome and the Hobbiton Movie Set.

The evening is scheduled to enjoy the traditional Maori Hangi.

DAY 7 – Rotorua-Wellington

Drive to Otorohanga where you will join the Northern Explorer Train. If Train not operating on the day* the journey will be by coach. The trip makes its way through the hill farms of the King Country, the volcanic landscapes of the National Park, the river-chiselled cliffs and gorges of the Rangitikei, the vastly stretched Manawatu Plain, the horticultural and coastal plantation of the Kapiti Coast and, finally, arrives Wellington, the Harbour Capital of the islands country New Zealand. You will be transferred to your accommodation.

Depart: 7:30am – Arrive Otorohanga 10:40am

Depart: Otorohanga 10:54am – Arrive Wellington 6:25pm

DAY 8 – Wellington-Christchurch

It’s time to bid bye to the Northern Island. An enjoyable Interislander Ferry trip from the Wellington Ferry Terminal will transfer to South Island (Picton) across the Cook Strait, through the pristine Marlborough Sounds. From Picton, you will be transferred via Coastal Pacific Train through a very panoramic landscape to Christchurch.

Depart: Wellington 8:25am Arrive: Picton 11:35am Depart: Picton 1:00pm Arrive: Christchurch 6:21pm.

DAY 9 – Christchurch-Dunedin

pai te ata in the South Island! Today’s journey starts with the visit to the Ashburton a large town inhabited by local rural community. It is seated between the Rakaia and Rangitata rivers. Fly fishing is the local obsession here. Pay a visit to the small beautifully formed city Timaru.

If you feel interested in fly fishing, your long trips to south will be full of activities as there are several river crossings and the fly fishing keeps you entertained all the way.

Lunch stop is at the town of Oamaru, an impressive heritage of late 19th Century New Zealand. Elegant historic buildings made from the local sandstone reflects the local culture.

After lunch journey to Dunedin. Dunedin obtained an impressive amount of flamboyant Victorian architecture in the late 19th century. you can enjoy the heritage. All the historic public buildings, imposing churches, palatial homes and ornate hotels will show you the imprints of the prosperity of the city during that period. Visit the penguin, albatross and seal colonies in Dunedin. You will be transferred to your accommodation thereafter.

Intercity Coach: Departs Christchurch 7:45 am Arrives Dunedin 1:45pm.

Note: You can visit the nearby Cadbury factory** in afternoon.

DAY 10 – Dunedin

A full day to unearth the beautiful Dunedin. Full day tour is organised including visit to the Larnach Castle and a scenic trip on the famous Taieri Gorge Railway. This train trip is a sightseeing train trip that will take you through the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. Train leaves from the historic Dunedin Railway Station in downtown Dunedin.

DAY 11 – Dunedin – Te Anau

Spend a leisurely morning in Dunedin. You can enjoy sightseeing yourself. You will be transferred to the coach terminal afterwards to take your Intercity coach across the bottom of the South Island and into the Fiordland region. Overnight stay at Te Anau.

DAY 12 – Te Anau-Milford Sound-Queenstown

From Te Anau start for the one of the best track in New Zealand, Milford Sound, Fiordland.  Travel deep into the Fiordland, visit the national park, feel the quietude of the Milford sound. Experience a Milford Sound Cruise before leaving the resort town, Queenstown.

Great Sights Departs Te Anau around 10:30am and arrives Queenstown around 7:45pm.

 DAY 13 – Queenstown

It’s complete leisure today. Roam around the resort town on your own to unearth the hidden beauties.

DAY 14 – Queenstown-Franz Josef

Your tour operator pick you from your accommodation in morning. 14th day travel includes a spectacular journey through the craggy Kawarau Gorge, past Lake Dunstan, onto the Glacier region of Franz Josef.  

Departs Queenstown 8:10am, Arrives Franz Josef 4:10pm.

 DAY 15 – Franz Josef

A day for your own interest in the Glacier region Franz Josef. You can take a valley walk across the Glacier. Heli-hike is another great choice to explore the accessible glacier with snow landing helicopter service.   

DAY 16 – Franz Josef – Christchurch

In the morning you will be transferred for the Intercity Coach. It will take you to the Greymouth Railway Station for the esteemed Tranz Alpine transfer. This rail journey is acclaimed as world’s one of the most panoramic railway transfers. After you reach Christchurch in the evening, will be transferred to the accommodation.

Intercity: Departs Franz Josef 9:15am & Arrives Greymouth 1:15pm.

Tranz Alpine: Departs Greymouth 1:45pm & Arrives Christchurch 6:05pm.
