Day 1 – Welcome to Auckland

You will receive a warm welcome on your arrival at the Auckland Airport. Your North-South package tour operator will transfer you to the accommodation.   

The 1st day afternoon of your tour is at leisure. Enjoy the time in exploring the largest New Zealand city.

We suggest you to visit the Sky Tower to watch a striking view of the city, the Viaduct Harbour for its scenic landscapes, the abundant volcanic hills. You can visit the Auckland Museum or go shopping in posh Parnell, otherwise.

In the late evening, there’s a welcome reception arranged by the operator. Meet the New Zealand Escorted Coach tour Tour Director and your fellow travellers in this tour and enjoy the ‘highlight dinner’ at The Langham hotel, Auckland. Indulge into the mouth-watering seafood and delicious desserts made of the freshest, quality ingredients and degust your dinner accompanied by some best wines from the best wineries of the country.

Day 2 – Auckland – Rotorua

Day 2 starts with the Auckland sightseeing. Afterwards you will visit the Waitomo caves. Take an underground boat ride across the Waikato river and explore the stunning waitomo Glow Worm cave. The alluring limestone formations and the glittering glow worms enlightening the dark cave will spellbound you.

After your eventful tour in Waitomo, it’s time to move to Rotorua. Your journey to Rotorua includes the way through the King Country – the war centre of the late 19th Century new Zealand.

On your arrival at Rotorua, you will be taken to an orientation tour Lake Rotorua. Later in the night, enjoy Maori village concert for a better insight in the aboriginal Maori culture and indulge in the Hangi feast ‘highlight dinner’ at the Tamaki Family Marae.

Day 3 – Rotorua Included Choice

One more day to unearth the exquisite Rotorua. Today you can choose your favourite one from the range of Included Choice sightseeing offered. There are options to visit the Kiwi Encounter at Rainbow Springs Nature Park; Te Puia Maori Arts and Crafts Institute; Agrodome Farm Show. You can also choose to spend your time at hot mineral pool, or relaxing at the Lake Spa Retreat at the Polynesian Spa. ride to the amphibious Rotorua Duck or the luge at Rotorua Skyline are also engaging experiences in Rotorua.

You have a choice to spend your night at your hotel or in a nearby farmhouse.

Day 4 – Rotorua – Wellington

An extremely eventful day is waiting for you. Start with the mighty Huka falls, and then a scenic drive along the shoreline Lake Taupo. Explore the alpine landscape of the Mt. Ruapehu, the amazing Tongariro National Park with three active volcanoes, Ski slopes, emerald lakes, unique wildlife and marine life; and Manawatu for extended dairy farms.

In the afternoon ‘you’re invited’ by the historic villa owners, Simon and Claudia to Shenandoah for a unique experience. They will guide you to their unique private collection of the Harley Davidson motorcycles; and the evening tea is served at their garden.

Afterwards, take a short tour to visit the local wildlife. Then 5the journey will continue to Wellington along the Kapiti Coast. Enjoy the amazing view of the capital city from Mt. Victoria.

A delicate dinner will be served at your hotel along with some tasteful wine.

Day 5 – Wellington – Blenheim

Unearth the cool capital of New Zealand this morning. There are options to visit the parliament; the Beehive, where the New Zealand politicians live.

Later in the day, pay a visit to the Museum of New Zealand, spend a quality time at the museum.

The next event is the Cruise to Cook Strait including a visit to the Queen Charlotte Sound. Now the South part of your New Zealand Escorted Coach tour will start with the visit to the Picton village. next it’s to Blenheim sightseeing.  

After an over-active day, enjoy your delightful 5-course ‘highlight dinner’ prepared from the local harvest accompanied by the finest wines of the Marlborough region. Best selections from Villa Maria and Saint Clair wineries.

Day 6 – Blenheim – Christchurch

Your 6th day journey includes tour to the whale-watching haven Kaikoura. On your way to kaikoura, you’ll get a close view of the New Zealand fur seals at Ohau Point and will pass the Grassmere Salt Works.

Your visit to Christchurch will overwhelm you with the spirit of the city. The extensive work they have carried out to rebuild the city after the drastic earthquake of 2011, that is highly appreciable. Visit the Re:Start Mall, that is designed to bring back the breathe to the devastated Christchurch. This mall is constructed with the shipping containers. This project re-established the  retail shopping much earlier than it could have been.

Day 7 – Christchurch – Twizel

Once again ‘you’re invited’ to another private property. This time Angie and Stan Taylor welcome you to their working sheep farm, the Morelea Farm. A beautiful 240 hectare garden to enjoy along with the chance to watch sheep shearing and farming demonstration.

After that, a delicious BBQ lunch is waiting at the farmhouse. Never miss the famous pavlova dessert made by Angie.

Later visit the Tekapo and Pukaki lakes and the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd on the way to Twizel.

Day 8 – Twizel – Dunedin

View the 8 power stations of the Waitaki Hydro Power Scheme on your way to Twizel to Waitaki. Also visit the largest man-made lake of New Zealand – Lake Benmore.   

Next you will stop at the spectacular harbour town Oamaru to see the most renowned white limestone architecture of the 19th Century. Pay a visit to the Oamaru Blue Penguin colony to visit the smallest penguin species.

Finally you arrive at the Edinburgh of the South – Dunedin. The city has a strong connection and many similarities with its northern hemisphere sister city.

Day 9 – Dunedin – Te Anau

Unearth the Scottish and Maori heritage city Dunedin. Today you can choose your favourite one from the range of Included Choice sightseeing offered. The best option you have, is to visit the only castle of New Zealand – the Larnach Castle. Next you can ride the historic Taieri Gorge Railway. Monarch Wildlife Cruise is another great activity to do in Dunedin. You can take a tour to the Cadbury World or Speight’s Brewery as well.         

Later in the afternoon, take a tour to the Te Anau village, Lake Te Anau,

Day 10 – Te Anau – Queenstown

Te Anau is the silent beauty of New Zealand. Experience the magnificence of the World Heritage Fiordland National Park. An exclusive photogenic nature with rainforest, ancient glaciers, mountain ranges awaits you. Also pay a visit to the hand-made Homer Tunnel.  

Pass through the Mirror Lake, Pop’s Lookout, Cleddau Valley, the Chasm trail on your way to Milford Sound. Milford Sound Cruise will take you past Bowen Falls, Mitre Peak.

Afterwards, travel along the Lake Wakatipu shoreline on your way to Queenstown. Your orientation tour finishes here.

Day 11 – Queenstown Included Choice

Included Choice sightseeing offers you a range of choices to explore Queenstown. You can go for a ride to the Shotover Jet, or else horse riding can be your option. Join a wine tour, or take the gondola to the Skyline Restaurant for dinner, the day is yours. You can also spend your time playing 9 holes of golf. Another good option is to relax with spa treatment at resort.

Evening will be engaging with the cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm for a gourmet BBQ ‘highlight dinner’ at the Colonel’s Homestead. An entertaining farm show will make your dinner more pleasurable.

Day 12 – Queenstown – Franz Josef

Another bright day in Queenstown includes your visit to the historic gold mining village –  Arrowtown.  

Visit Dunstan, Hawea and Wanaka lakes. Travel over the Haast Pass and watch the Thunder Creek Falls.

Now finally, you get to the world’s most accessible and the advancing glacier – Franz Josef.

Day 13 – Franz Josef – Punakaiki

Later on, depart for Hokitika – the home of the precious jade – for a factory visit and jewellery demonstration. Travel to Punakaiki, view the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes.

Enjoy dinner with wine at hotel. Spend night in the eco-friendly resort.

Day 14 – Punakaiki – Christchurch

Travel to the alpine village of Arthur’s Pass and board one of the world’s most scenic train trips the TranzAlpine.
